Chief of Party (Nigeria Water and Sanitation)
Tetra Tech is seeking to hire a qualified Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID-funded water and sanitation activity in Nigeria that will strengthen the financial and productive ability of water providers in select Nigerian states to operate more sustainability.
*Advanced degree in fields related to water engineering, urban sanitation, organizational development, and utility management, or other relevant field;
*Must have at least 10 years of progressively responsible work experience on USAID or donor funded projects; with significant management or oversight roles.
*Prior Chief of party or equivalent experience on projects of similar scope and size;
*Deep understanding of, and experience working in, the water and sanitation sector, and activities focused on water and sanitation sector strengthening and improvement;
*Supervises all field-based program technical staff, consultants, locally-hired support staff, and partners
*Direct experience in the water and sanitation sector in Africa, Nigeria preferred
*The COP will be responsible for overall activity management, implementation, and oversight of the project.
*Strong experience managing complex activities in Africa, preferably Nigeria.
*S/he will review and monitor contract reporting and deliverables, oversee the recruitment and engagement of technical staff, and coordinate with home office staff.
*Serve as the primary liaison to USAID.
*S/he will be a skilled project manager with proven ability to provide technical, financial, and administrative management of the project.
